03/03/12 Terminal 5, New York NY
SOLD OUT! The "Texas Independence Day" bash at Terminal 5 was sold out and those misplaced Texans from the Big Apple rocked the place enjoying the music they love and miss!
The place was crazy and very high energy! One sad note, however, for the Randy Rogers Band. Their bass player lost his brother the night before the show in a motorcycle accident. I know everyone's heart went out to him in the face of this tragedy. Randy did his set "acoustic" with just three of them and the crowd appreciated them being there.
The line up was Josh Abbott Band, Randy Rogers Band, Eli Young Band, and then Pat. Pat sang Three Days and Right Now especially for Kori, who was there. It's hard to describe, but I know those of you were there know what I mean when I say that it was very touching and sweet!
As a special treat, the writer of "Streets of Galilee" (Aaron Tasjan), which is on the Songs We Wish We'd Written 2 album, came out to perform it for the crowd.
It was a GREAT show, an awesome night, and well worth only getting something like 3 1/2 hours of sleep before having to fly back home!

Was an awesome show! Although, I think perhaps the night before was better. Or maybe I just liked the venue better. Who's to say? I did finally get a PG guitar pick! lol Only took 8 years. :D I can say I do believe it was meant for me though since it hit me in the chest! NYC was a blast and loved, loved, loved seeing "Streets of Galilee" If only just to see the shear joy on Patsy's face. That alone was worth the trip. Deej wish we had gotten to see you. We could see you from a distance. lol
